Journal Entry # 3

English, being my second language is quiet a challenge. Ever since I came to this country, I have tried to accustom, especially to the writing. For me, texting, had interfere with my academic writing in a positive way, what I mean by this, is the learning of new words, and get used to of how to write them. I have seen on my conversations via text, a lot grammar errors, or abbreviations. However, in my curiosity, I search for the meaning and spelling of unknown words.

Cullington's findings I do think represents some of my writing experiences. First of all, in today's world a key way of communication is texting, young people, or adults like me tends to use this method to communicate. But, honestly most of this (textspeak) stated in the article, I think happens between close friends, or relatives. And, in these cases Cullington is right about mistakes or abbreviations in mine, and/or our writings. This, is my understanding of how Cullington's research reflects, not only on me, but in many other people.
